Soul Space
In addition to our Sunday and mid-week worship, we offer opportunities to pause, explore, and reconnect with ourselves and God. Soul Space includes different initiatives through the year to help us grow spiritually, as we go deeper in the Way of Jesus. These creative and spiritual spaces include:
Ancient Wisdom for our Times
At different times of the year we offer special seminars exploring Christian spirituality through facilitated conversations. These mid-week evening sessions include a speaker to introduce us to the teachings of a particular person or theme, and small group discussion in a café style format. The next series of seminars will be on the 6th and 20th of October 2026, exploring the wisdom of Teresa of Ávila and Meister Eckhart. More information here:
Creative and Centering Prayer
During Advent, Lent and Creationtide we offer a weekly space (Thursday evenings: 6.30-7.30pm) to be still in God’s presence using the spiritual practice of centering prayer (Christian meditation), as well as silence, music, art and poetry.
Retreats & Quiet Days
At different times of the year we offer Day Retreats (Quiet Days), led by a team of creative and spiritual facilitators. These are usually held on a Saturday morning (10am-1pm), and include spaces for silence, prayer and reflection, as well as guided sessions.
Also, once a year we have a weekend residential retreat (Friday to Sunday). This year (2026) we held it at Whitchester House in the Borders, and was co-led by Rev Andi Hofbauer and our priest-in-charge, Rev Dani Muñoz. In 2027, the retreat will be held at The Bield (near Perth) between the 30th April and the 2nd of May. More information will be available here in early 2027.
The Nooma Conversations
Once a year, we offer a series of evenings (4-5 weeks) exploring life and faith questions from a perspective of Jesus. The Nooma Conversations are held at St Peter's on midweek evenings in the Spring and/or Autumn, and include refreshments and cakes, a video presentation from Rob Bell's "Nooma" collection, and small group conversation.
