If you’re new to St Peter’s, we welcome you and hope you will soon feel at home among us. We would like to get to know you and help you become part of our family. Congregation

Join our congregation as we gather for Sunday Worship. We are a friendly, welcoming and inclusive community of people of all ages, from different walks of life, living in the Musselburgh area. In our Sunday services our focus is on meeting God and others through the wisdom of the Bible (applied to our daily lives and in conversation with our modern world), through the Breaking of Bread (Holy Communion), music and prayer.

Small Groups

If you are looking for community and would like to explore the Way of Jesus with others, why not join one of our small groups? Our small groups meet fortnightly at different times during the week  and follow the Sunday service teaching or themed study guides. To join a group, please contact us here.

Get involved

The best way to get to know folk in a church community is by getting involved. These are some of the ways in which you can volunteer:

Cook Club

Every Wednesday (15.00 -17.30) a team from St Peter’s and other local churches prepare a meal which is served in the Church Hall. Anyone from the local community is welcome to come and share the meal at no cost. To volunteer or join us at the Cook Club, please contact us here.

St Peter's Playgroup  

Join our team of volunteers helping with the Friday morning (10-11.30am) Playgroup for babies and toddlers with parents and carers. If you want to get involved, contact us here.​​

Sunday Services

If you play an instrument or enjoy singing, why not join our worship music group? You can also contribute to our services by reading a scripture passage, serving at the Lord’s Table, or offering tech support, from setting up the sound system to running the slides on the projection screen.

Mothers Union

University Pastoral Support

Together with our Musselburgh Churches Together ecumenical partners, we are available to offer pastoral support to students at Queen Margaret University. This is a developing ministry, so if you would like to volunteer, contact us here.

Marathon Café

We serve our wider community at this yearly event by providing free tea, coffee and cakes for runners and spectators at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on a Sunday at end of May.
